  • Better Surfaces sponsored a Guitar Finishing Clinic at a student forum at the Woodworking Centre of Ontario, Kitchener, Canada

The Woodworking Centre held a biannually Woodworking Industry Expo & Job Fair at its Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, campus site in spring 2014.
This event was well attended and gave the students of the 2nd and 3rd year a chance to connect to wood-industry manufacturers and discuss career opportunities in this sector.
During a question-and-answer session afterwards, students were able to ask an expert panel about their future and what it takes to succeed in the wood industry.
After the panel discussion, everybody was invited (see invitation poster) to attend the sponsored Guitar Finishing Clinic held by Glen Affeldt from Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.

In the finishing department of the Woodworking Centre, Glen demonstrated and explained how to professionally build up coating surfaces with stain and spray paint on different types of guitar brands. Glen also gave a live presentation how to professionally repair guitars with the right methods when guitars are scratched from heavy jobs at the stages.
Glen Affeldt is an accomplished guitar player and touring musician. Glen is also a talented musician who has done many recording projects and is very much at home in the studio and pays particular attention to detail.

Glens attention to details were recognized by students who are able to make their own guitars (see images) and get best advice on how to stain and spray paint their instrument in appropriate steps.
Better Surfaces appreciates the time Glen Affeldt spent with the students and faculty to answer all questions about his art of spraying guitars and sharing good stories of stars in the world of music.
Better Surfaces would like to thank Glen Affeldt for this exciting presentation.
Please ask Better Surfaces International if you want to touch base with Glen Affeldt.
